Halloween!

For Halloween we went to the Burns' house for spooky food and yummy mummy potion. Then we went trick or treating around the neighborhood. Mila had so much fun.

A Pumpkin Poem

Mila learned this adorable poem at preschool. She forgot a few of the lines on this take, but it was so cute I had to post it. Have I mentioned I love this kid?

More Halloween fun!

Yes, Mila has two costumes. For Preschool Mila was a leopard. She was very excited for the whiskers on her face. After Preschool we went ice skating again, and then we carved pumpkins, drank hot chocolate and watched Monster vs. Aliens(a halloween special--not the movie). It was a good day. Mila kept asking me if we were going to "shave the pumpkins." And she was so excited to go get me a butter knife to shave the pumpkin. It was a perfect fall/pre-halloween day.

Her little pumpkin...she drew what she wanted carved.

Hot Chocolate...Yum.

Law School Halloween party

On October 29th the Law School had its annual Halloween Party. Mila has been excited about this since the last one. I have class at 10 so Mila watched class with me in a family support room. After class we went to the party and ate Pizza. Everyone in costume paraded in the front of the room...I had no intention of going up there, but once Mila saw a few of our friends up there she said "Why aren't we going up there?" I was surprised she actually wanted to go, so we went up front so she could show off her costume. After that we went trick or treating in the carrels. Mila got a ton of candy and a balloon dog. She had a blast!

My bumblebee!

Watching class with me.

Eating Pineapple Pizza...her favorite...aka eating the pineapple off the pizza.

Mila and Gideon... a bumblebee and a caterpillar.

Mila and Vienn.

Bumblebee, Minnie Mouse and Boba Fett...an unlikely trio.

Trick or Treating at the carrels.

Cute little bugs.
The best treat of the day...a balloon dog!

BYU Homecoming Parade

Last Saturday, Mila and I walked in the BYU Homecoming Parade. The Law School had two groups and one of them was the children of law students. Mila had so much fun waving and throwing tootsie rolls to the kids. It was really fun...until I had to push Mila up the hill to get back to our car. I was exhausted...we both were.

Fall Fun

Mila loves playing in the leaves in the fall. She has so much fun and I have fun taking her picture. I realized I take the most pictures during the fall. There are just so many good opportunities, and I love the fall!

Pre-Sunbeams

On Sunday, Mila started going to pre-sunbeams so she can get ready to start Primary in January. Nobody warned me that I would have to drop her off at the Primary room. I can't believe she is getting so big...I almost cried. I thought I had three months before she would be out of nursery. I don't know what I am going to do when she goes to Kindergarten...she is growing up so fast. She was so excited to be in Primary and she looked so grown up sitting in her chair next to her friend Anna. I think she likes it...She spoke proudly about going into the "room with no toys."

Zoo Fun!

More placement break fun involved going up to the Hogle Zoo on Friday October 9th with a bunch of friends from school.(Nielson's, Sheng's, Hintze's, and Wise's). Mila was so excited to go to the "Utah Zoo" because we haven't been there before.

While Sara and I were waiting for everyone to arrive, I got some good pictures of Mila and Luke.

Smiles and Silly faces.

Silly face while looking at the brand new baby elephant.

Mila and Hyrum intensely discussing something...it probably had to do with the monkeys they were looking at. They have the funniest conversations.

Trying to get all the kids to smile or even just look in the same direction is nearly impossible.

Mila and Vienn....so cute.

A short video of Mila skating. I love her smile when the people say "Good Job."

Ice Skating Fun

On Wednesday, October 8, 2009 Mila and I went ice skating with our friends Summer, Phil, Vien and Sephi Sheng. It was nice because there weren't very many people and we could skate around without having to dodge people. Mila had so much fun and was really getting the hang of it by the end. She was skating on her own and even getting up by herself when she fell. She fell a lot, but she would just laugh. I'm a little sore after spending the first hour hunched over helping her skate, but it was worth seeing her happy smile!

Ready to skate!

With Summer and Vien...

Oops...It's okay!

She saw someone skating on one foot and she had to give it a try!
